General Procedure
JUVÉDERM Ultra and JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus are made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the body. The amount of filler used will depend on the extent of correction necessary, and therefore will differ from patient to patient. JUVÉDERM Ultra and JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus are injected into the skin through the use of very fine needles. A topical anesthetic may be applied to the skin before treatment if necessary.
Sculptra Aesthetic provides gradual yet long-lasting results. Although patients will not see results overnight, they will experience a natural looking improvement in their skin. To start the Sculptra Aesthetic treatment, makeup is removed and a topical anesthetic may be applied to the skin. Sculptra Aesthetic is then injected beneath the skin through the use of fine needles. This procedure is fast, usually lasting up to a half an hour, and making it a convenient option for busy, on-the-go patients.
Recovery Process
Downtime for JUVÉDERM Ultra, JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus, and Sculptra Aesthetic are minimal. While patients might experience slight discomfort, in general, recovery from these non-invasive treatments is fast and easy.
