General Procedure
With a special custom-made applicator, LATISSE is applied to the base of the upper eyelash line by the patient once a day. This allows patients who have established long beautiful lashes to maintain their look with less frequent applications and less cost. It is important to remain consistent with this product, applying it once daily.
To start, ensure that your face is clean and any makeup is removed. Take out contact lenses before proceeding. Then, put a drop of LATISSE on the provided applicator and draw the applicator along the base of the upper lash line, from the inner most corner to the outermost.
Recovery Process
There is no downtime with LATISSE because it works to gradually improve the eyelashes. During the first 4 weeks, patients generally notice the length of their eyelashes increase. Then, during the subsequent weeks, patients notice their lashes getting fuller and darker. By week 16, most patients notice the full effects of the treatment. Patients that have used LATISSE for a significant amount of time are noting that they need less frequent applications than most doctors are prescribing, but when patients stop using LATISSE treatment, eyelashes will return to their original form before the treatment.
