Eyelid Surgery before and after, frontal
This 68-year-old Jackson Michigan eyelid surgery patient was troubled by his excess upper eyelid skin. He often felt like he had to use his forehead muscle to raise his eyelids so that he could see. A visual field test performed by an optometrist revealed that extra eyelid skin was causing a visual field loss that was particularly affecting his peripheral vision. The patient did note that sometimes he felt like cars coming from the sides were not easily visible.
The patient’s insurance covered his upper eyelid surgery with Jackson, Michigan eyelid surgeon, Dr. Malhotra. This was done under light twilight anesthesia with all dissolving sutures. He did not even require pain medication after surgery and had only moderate bruising for about three days. After surgery, he noted that everything was brighter and his forehead felt more relaxed because he no longer had to raise his eyebrows to see.
