Rhinoplasty before and after, Lateral Right
This 60-year-old patient had undergone surgery by a Michigan rhinoplasty surgeon twenty-five years ago. She had a small touch up procedure one year later, and since that time had always been unhappy with the appearance of her nose. For many years, she lived with her “nose job” result, but finally decided to talk with a plastic surgeon to see what was possible in this day and age.
Before she underwent a revision rhinoplasty, Michigan cosmetic surgeon Pramit Malhotra MD, MS discussed with her the issues regarding revision rhinoplasty surgery. The patient was bothered most by the hook appearance of her nose, and the lack of nasal tip definition. Dr. Malhotra performed a open rhinoplasty to remove foreign material that had been placed twenty-five years ago to augment her nose, and then used her own cartilage from her nasal septum to reconstruct and re-define her nose.
The patient was very pleased with the results.
