Tummy Tuck before and after, frontal
Tummy Tuck before and after, lateral left
This 47-year-old patient was bothered by the loose skin around her abdomen. She had thin, fit arms and legs, but her midsection did not match the rest of her body. She continually struggled with clothing purchases that were upsized to fit her abdomen but were loose everywhere else. This patient saw Ann Arbor, Michigan tummy tuck surgeon Dr. Malhotra to discuss her concerns. He had been recommended to her by another Ann Arbor cosmetic surgery patient of his.
At the examination, Dr. Malhotra noted that the issue was actually the patient’s profile and not the width of her waist. Her stomach muscle (rectus diastasis) had stretched a considerable amount from childbearing, resulting in an abdomen that gave her a round appearance. Her abdominal fat wall thickness was not very profound. The patient underwent a tummy tuck with a four-suture umbilicoplasty. This four-suture technique around the bellybutton kept the umbilicus incision hidden inside to avoid the telltale signs of abdominoplasty.
She was thrilled with the results and has had several small facial procedures including Botox, Juvederm, and chemical peels to maintain her youthful appearance.
Keep in mind that each patient is unique and results may not occur for all patients. These photos are of an actual patient of our practice who has provided consent to display their pictures online.
